Overbust Corset
An overbust corset is a structured garment that covers the bust and extends down past the natural waist, often to the upper hip. It shapes the torso, supports or lifts the bust, and cinches the waist.
- Overbust vs. underbust: Underbust corsets stop beneath the bust and require a bra for support; overbusts include the bust,
How to measure and choose a size
Grab a soft tape measure and stand naturally, not sucking in.
- Bust: Measure around the fullest part, parallel to the floor.
- Underbust: Right under your bust, snug but not tight.
- Natural waist: Narrowest part of your torso, usually above the navel.
- High hip: Around the top of your hip bones.
- Torso length: From underbust to top of thigh when seated (helps avoid digging when you sit).
- For overbust: Note your cup volume and the distance between bust apexes (bust point to bust point). If you know your well-fitting bra size, it helps, but rely on actual measurements.
